So for my Christmas this year my mum made me some homemade orange and cranberry gin and yes, it was amazing. I've been drinking it on special occasions throughout the year and because it was so amazingly infused with flavours it got to the point where I could pretty much drink it straight.
Now with the good weather I've been exclusively drinking white wine and chilled fruity ciders, I mean cranberry and orange are winter flavours. That was until I had an epiphany when I was given an ice lolly kit. Thus the cranberry and orange gin fizz ice lolly was born.
What you'll need:
- An infused gin mix. See here on pinterest for ideas and recipes.
- A mixer. I used soda water, but anything fizzy would do.
- Ice lolly molds
- Adequate space in your freezer. Goodbye gross vegetable fingers I was never going to actually eat.
Method:
This is literally the easiest thing on the planet but the scientist in me wants to type out a complete method so here we go.If your mold is new make sure you wash it out before you use it so your lollies don't have a weird plastic-y taste. I poured half the gin into the molds first and then topped them up to the line with the soda water. Then freeze overnight.
Told you it was simple.
Hope you enjoy,
